    i have the slightest little bit of rattle and i'm fairly sure it's coming from the middle button on the side between the volume buttons. there is a little extra nub on that button and i'm fairly sure it's actually a two piece button. it seems like it rattles within that button a bit when i flick it. not a big deal.

    It doesn't rattle anytime. Tap the back with the tip of your finger and you'll notice it

    I've notice the "rattling" also. Is this somethng that is in all new Z10 phones? I read on some reviews that it is.

    Mine has a slight rattle is I shake it just front to back, but not side to side. No matter.

    Nope Mine is not NFC... when covered it still rattles. I believe the Camera lens theory as that is the area that makes the noise. I'm not worried just strange every time i set it down.

    Okay, I've read lots of ideas of what it could be, or what some believe it to be caused by. My question is, can it be fixed, as it is very annoying!

    It's definitely the lens assembly (autofocus or whatever). My older z10 is apart right now, as I'm replacing the crappy speaker. When I tap the lens assembly, that sound is as clear as ever. If I hold it, and tap other areas of the motherboard, no sound is evident. The lens is only attached by a ribbon cable at this point, so it's easy to isolate it from the rest of the MB while tapping it.

    It is only a problem it you have a physical or visual symptom. I guess it might lead to a problem. How old is the unit? Warranty?
