My contacts are synced through Gmail (active sync). When I check my contacts app all my contacts are there for the enabled active sync account. When I use the phone and select contacts and search for contacts some are missing.

I find it strange that the two contact features on the phone are not identical.

I know I can edit links, but why should I have to do this?

The contacts should be displayed in the phone app as they do in the stand alone contacts app.

It makes no sense.

It seems that if a contact is linked to a source like twitter and you hide twitter contacts the contact tab in the Phone hides the contact. This shouldn't happen as the contact has other links like Facebook, Gmail etc
