hi everyone. I've been the most frustrated I've ever been with my Z10 today. I'm feeling tempting to trade it in for an iPhone. I've updated to 10.1.0.2014 and I'm still have random reboots and shutdowns. Just wondering if anyone else is still having this issue. I use the phone then put it in my pocket and the next time I try to use it, it will be off or it will restart when I swipe up to unlock it. I had an incoming call and went to answer it and the phone shut off. I can't have this happening with important business calls coming in. I'm about ready to jump ship for something reliable...

I had random reboots on my Z10 until I updated via a T-Mobile SIM to 10.1.0.2025. Try that. On 1720 and 2009 before I was getting reboots. Either that or use Sachup/Sachibar to update further. (Follow the directions carefully, especially if you've never done it before. Disclaimer: I take no responsibility if it goes wrong, etc etc.)

T-Mobile's load has not rebooted on me once. I was running 2354 but back-flashed to T-Mobile's official load and it is entirely stable -- plus I got the VVM in the hub back doing that.

Do a fresh reload of the os thru BlackBerry Link and i guarantee the random reboots will be gone. I was getting 5+ a day and still did when I upgraded over the old os.

Once I used link to reload the software
.2014 fresh wiping the phone the reboots immediately stopped.

You will... because software release 10.1.0.273 is OS 10.1.0.1720 which is lower than OS 10.1.0.2050 where the fix started.

Get yourself a T-Mobile SIM and update to 2025. That did it for me.

There was a comment -- either here or on the support page -- that the T-Mo 2025 was reviewed as being stable. Not sure where the information sources to that says you need 2050 (is it just an urban legend?) but when I updated to 2025 on my T-Mo reboots stopped.

Thanks, Phill. But FWIW, I and many others, can confirm reboots have stopped on the T-Mo 2025.

I agree. According to Kris's BlackBerry insider, the fix actually came in leaked OS 10.1.0.1916

My reboots are getting worse. Three in one day, two of which were within one hour. At night, when on the charger and in bedside mode, it will reboot at least once each night. Last night it rebooted twice. This morning, in the middle of a text, it rebooted again.

I went "public" with it and was interviewed by a local consumer advocate. My interview will appear in a September broadcast of the guys show. In the meantime, he's contacting Blackberry to get their side of the story.

Frankly, I think we need more than Crackberry to air our complaints. If there is a similar consumer advocate on tv in your area, give them a call.

my reboots turned out to be something else besides OS or software, I think it is worth a try...look up the thread on "My REBOOT FIX" It might work...Or, it might not work....BUT it WORKED FOR ME another Crackberry user had great results too...MAXFRESH...Just curious if anyone else had tried this and it resolved some weird reboots going on

Not only did my all my text messages get erased, I am getting random reboots now after 2 days installing in the new OS update. What the hell. I am really frustrated and close to throwing this Z10 into the garbage.
