Long story short, I have three text conversations which simply will not delete off my phone. It just locks up my text hub until I reboot several times and the text threads are still there.

Is there a utility I can use to force these three threads to delete?

    Thanks guys.

Did you try the hub reset thing. 4-5 swipes from upper right to lower left. Just a thought.

Try going into settings and change from conversation to single message. Exit, let it rebuild, then go back and change back to conversation. Exit again. Has worked for many.

Swiping doesn't let me erase conversation.

So if I change from conversation to single (or whatever the word is you used... can't see in the app) and then back I will be able to delete the corrupted conversation?

I expect it to delete itself. I know it has worked for me and many others. Did you try it?

Weird... mine is already set to single message! I set to conversation and it's rebuilding now. Will update this.

I set it to conversation and i don't see ANY Difference. Are you saying I need to set it back to single, then try deleting said conversations? Or will making this change fix my corrupted conversations alone?

If you have changed it, exited and then gone back and changed it again and exited again, then the messages should remove themselves assuming you have deleted them at some point previously.

The only other thing you could try would be to do the change, exit, then power down your phone, then remove the battery for 15 minutes, then power back up.

If this does not work, you will need to security wipe your phone and do not restore from back up. Sorry but it's the only way I've seen if the above did not resolve your issue.

Email will sync when you add your account back. Contacts and calendar should sync with BlackBerry Link or Google or the likes. All other gets moved to SD card that is removed before the wipe.

I say this assuming you have a computer....

Download blackberry link and sync your calendar and contacts to that. After the wipe, you will sync it back from the computer to the phone. Be patient and learn BlackBerry Link. Many have issues with it but I find it works great. It is a little time consuming to learn....

Or, set up a Google account and sync both to that. I do this for calendar but not contacts. There is info in the forums on how to do this.

Another option, move all ur contacts to your sim and sync your calendar with Google. Then move your contacts back from your sim.

    Let me know....

Once you have set up link, you are able to check boxes of what you want to sync and how you want them synced. Manuel or automatic. It is in the settings tab. As previously stated, link takes a little work to understand but, if you are willing to take the time and learn it, it works great.

Lol I've had link for over a year. Roughly the day I bought my phone

There isn't an option in Link to make backup items like desktop manager used to. There are no options to backup or not backup text conversations.

We were not talking about backing up. We were talking about syncing contacts and calendar?????

In a way, this is a back up so you can reload your OS without reloading a back up that will keep your corrupted files.

If you have had it a year, why have you not learned to use it and why are you asking for help to fix your issue? Everything you need is right there.

now I'm confused as to if you need help or if your just trying to waste my time.

Because the most I've ever needed desktop manager or link for, in the 5 models of blackberry that I've owned, is to conduct backups and back in the old days, restores. And in those days I could choose exactly what I wanted to backup or restore.

If link can sync only contacts and calendar I'm sure the heck going to look into that. And then take a full media backup. Thanks for the advice So far.

I use it almost daily to sync "only" my contacts. I don't use it to sync calendar though it will. I sync calendar with Google as I previously stated.

Also, since I sync contacts only with link, I have not had the contact issues I have seen so many trying to fix. I believe it is still the best way.
