    That app has only gotten better recently. They keep breaking it and performance sucked most of last year.

    People love that app on Sonys tablets and it was like pulling teeth to get them to fix the 100 foot tall pile of **** that crap app used to be.

    For anyone that wanted to use the android app, but couldn't make it work (can't find on network) and gave up... It works now!!! Sony added ability to manually add an IP address and it connects without issue after that.

    The SideView apk into which you can enter an IP address is on 1MobileMarket, Sideview version 2.6.3. I still can't connect my Z10 to my Sony STR DN1040 with this version, but if someone else can figure it out, great.

    I updated Side View to 2.7 from 1Mobile Market, then successfully connected to my Sony Bluray player, BDP S3200, by entering its IP address. I can now control it with my Z10. Still no luck yet with my Sony Receiver, STR DN1040. Direct entry of IP address will not work for this receiver, but at least I have confirmed that the Z10 can use Sideview.

    Your receiver should work, here is a compatibility list.

    Happy to announce that it finally worked for me.
    I installed Google play store and then tv side view. It found my Sony bravia KDL- 42w829b and works so far.

    Just bought a Sony TV. Grabbed Sideview through Snap. Found the TV right away and works great. I'm on 10.3.2
