Not sure but never had this issue on my previous BB's and some of the texts everywhere else on the phone do not display properly. I remember there was an option to change the uni-code text or something like that but couldn't find it. Any help?

No sorry, I have attached the wrong file by mistakenly. Hahaha. Check the file above again, I have uploaded the correct one. See those special characters that are showing up as squared ones?

There is no attachment. It just shows " Attached Thumbnails" but it is blank.

So I don't actually know what your issue is but did you try:

Hub>Menu>Settings>Text Messages>Advanced>Allow Special Characters: On>Save (if you just hit back it won't save).

OK, so it looks like it's pretty much her BBM name. It appears that your friend is using characters/symbols that *are* supported on legacy BB OS but not on BB10.

I *can* see the attachment. Maybe it's a bug ...

Could it be because I have uploaded the attachment using my device? Weird if desktop users cannot view it just on the mobile site, then I suppose this is a bug in the OS as well.

Back to the subject, yes it's her BBM display name that shows up as squared ones. And no it's not a special emotions or anything, just some special lettering characters like the rest of the ones that are viewable but some aren't showing up.
