just to inform you all, that finally du is rolling out the update for the Z10!!!

It's for the STL 100-1 => 10.0.10.82 size on my Z10 674MB

downloading and installing now....

That is a huge download. Mine was 130MB.

I was on a leaked 10.0.10.261 version before and I guess I am now going to 10.0.10.648 so maybe it's a complete re-download, while you were only getting the needed updated files. Because you are going the "correct upgrade path". Just guessing.

No update on Etisalat yet. Just did an update and link installed 10.0.9.348. Which was on the phone already.

Yeah nothing from Etisalat yet- I work right under the Blackberry HQ here in Dubai-Went up and spoke to them about the update and when it would be released in UAE- they confirmed that the updates have been sent to Du and Etisalat and they should be rolling them out as of today-Guess Du has already rolled it out.Hopefully Etisalat will follow soon after.

LOL- they are in internet City-Aptec Building-trust me I went ape**** on their ***:P told them we need the update now!

In all fairness they were a cool bunch of people. They did say that as time passes they will strive to get the updates to the carriers as soon as they are ready and push the carriers to move quicker on updates to the public.

Every time there is an update Ill make sure I head up there!

Good to know ;-) not so close from my office, Business Central Towers, but I pass by there from time to time. I will make sure when we are desperate for a fix of some troubling issue that I walk in there too.

Or you just tell them: Hi, I am here to get my free update that you announced just a few minutes ago on Twitter. So cool you are doing this free update, free coffee thing while you wait, I just heard that another few hundred people are on their way here right now ;-)

And then just look at their faces until they realise you are just joking.

just installed the version 10.0.10.82 on my z10. download and installation took about 45 minutes.cant wait to test the battery performance now
on another note guys, anyone has any word about bbm voice/video? read somewhere that bb was in talks with etisalat/du?

I heard the same thing. I believe Blackberry had said that discussions were taking place with both Etisalat and Du for BBM voice and video but this was before it was launched here, so hopefully discussions haven't stopped now that it has been released.

I just called Etislat customer service and the woman on the line said that she has no idea about any software update.... I don't know how these companies operate....

Etisalat is known for it that they blame their call center agents permanently by giving them neither information nor authority to act.

Did anyone try updating without a sim ?

Just tried without a sim doesn't work. I have tried my DU micro sim but cant position it properly so the device doesn't pick it up.
