BB Link update is already live.
Excuse me, I'm making perfect sense. You're just not keeping up.

Glad to see Ty W. take the time acknowledge some of the frustration being felt migrating from current BB6 and BB7 devices to BB10. I was one of the BB6 users who did not have his Contacts synced with an online service. I have been stumbling around my new Z10 without my important contacts. I guess the next step is to upload my contact to an online service and setup the account properly. I wonder why BlackBerry doesn't offer such a service now. me@bb.ca would be a great email. In the meantime does anyone know any alternatives to @gmail.com and @hotmail.com which work well in the blackberry environment?
Edit
I used the updated 1.0.0.76 Link software and migrated my contacts to my Z10. It turned out I had a variety of problems. My 9800 was experiencing the somewhat common unknown contact list. Prior to migrating 9800 to my Z10 I have to rectify that issue using workaround #1 (http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/b...ListHelperImpl). Once my contacts were in the default contact list the migration went off without a hitch.Last edited by Just Me; 02-24-2013 at 10:59 PM.

I restarted Link twice then it showed up, I can't find a 'check for updates' function within Link, apart from the setting for Link to look for updates automatically - for anyone looking, it shows as a red asterisk on the computer tab in bottom left, hover over it then click on the install button.

What's disturbing about that link is this sentence: "An updated version of BlackBerry 10 OS for the BlackBerry Z10 is being provided to carriers for testing and will be released soon to further address device switch issues." I remember RIM/Blackberry saying updates that doesn't have changes to the radio stack will be pushed directly to devices
