I was sitting watching a movie and after went to check the time on my Z10 and nothing. Absolutely nothing. The phone is completely dead and won't respond to anything I've tried. What makes it worse is that this thing's been babied since I got it; it's never been dropped or been anywhere near water, not even mist or steam and when on the move it stays in its holster. I've only downloaded official OS updates, never a leak or hybrid and all my apps are from app world. I had about 10GB of internal memory remaining. I should also mention it had a full charge.

I have no idea what to do as I'm on a flight to the UK at 9:00am tomorrow and I won't have time to deal with it. I'm only hoping someone here has some sort of fantastic idea to get it up and running again.

you plugged into a charger and let it sit there for a little while (30 minutes)? Do you get any lights at all when you take the battery out and put it back in?

I've dropped mine hard at least five times, run it into the ground, but the damn thing won't die.

    Can't help you.

    Try a new battery, maybe.

No lights at all. Mind you, I haven't left it for a full 30 minutes but it had a full charge to start. I've even tried switching with my fully charged spare.

We might have same problem, my z10 device false reads the battery status / indicator. It displayed as full but actually it's empty, no below 20% battery warning (yellow light) and below 10% battery warning (red light). It was started at 30% and z10 turning off by itself. Then lately at 85% it turning off. How I consider it as false battery reading? Because when I charge it and booted the battery indicator started at the last percentage in my case 85%. If it's empty it should start with red battery icon.

I don't think my issue's battery related. I had finished charging my phone before I started the movie, but the time the movie had finished (2hrs?) the phone was unresponsive. I tried connecting to the charger for about 20 minutes and still things didn't change. I even switched with my fully charged spare to see if that helped. I'm guessing I'm going to have to dust off my old 9790, but I have info on the Z10 I need for my trip!

Try pulling the battery for a bit. Maybe it shifted off the contacts

Try keeping the power button depressed for 45 seconds. If that doesn't work, it's a dead Zed. Sorry.

I've tired pulling the battery and/or the SIM but that didn't work either.

I left it on the charger over night, still nothing when I woke up.

I don't know if I kept the button depressed for a full 45 seconds or not but no joy.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone, I guess I have to accept that my Zed is dead Problem is, my carrier won't simply do a switch, it's got to go back to BlackBerry and that could take weeks before I get to see it again. Fortunately I still have my 9790 kicking around so I`ll get that up and running again when I get back next week.

    Thanks again.
