Last night I sent a SMS message. As soon as i sent it, my phone turned off. When it restarted, the message had a clock icon next to it.

I was not able to open this conversation to resend or to send a followup message. It seems like this message is corrupted.

Now, all messages previous to this message cannot be opened. I have sms conversations dating back months, but when i click on the conversation, i am taken to the compose screen and not the conversation.

I am able to compose new messages. If i compose a new message to someone, the new conversation and the old conversation are not merging (like they normally would). It's as if the old messages no longer exist, but they are still listed in the hub.

Are these corrupted? Can they be restored? If not how can i delete them (the normal method does not work).

    Thanks.

What is the normal method? Are you long holding it in the hub and deleting it?

Yes. The option to delete is there, but nothing happens.

This happened to me the other day. Identical problem, Hopefully someone still checks this thread. I called BB support on this and sent logs over but cant do anything. Said the info cant be retrieved but my gut tells me it can since the contact and message still show in the hub.

The hub has to be pulling the SMS info its previewing from somewhere on the devices flash storage.
