    Hey all, happy new year!

I've been using Skype a few times, downloaded from BlackBerry World and I find that my phone heats up ridiculously. Like to the point where your hand will feel as if it's on the sun. Does anyone else have this issue?

    I have a Z10STL100-2/10.2.1.1259

Warm up? Yep but I'm not sure it is as hot as yours ( hard to tell) but of all the apps that cause it to get warm, Skype is the king at least for me.

Nothing else makes it heat up for me, even a two hour phone call or having two racing games open or even playing Fieldrunner 2.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling but no good.
Is it a major battery killer for you? Like a 20 min Skype call drains about 40-50%.

Lol my battery drains even on a power charge.. just to reiterate, I will be charging my battery on a power charger (more power than the standard head allows) and the battery will be going down.. down. Not even staying where it is but draining, something very wrong with this app..

Same here, reached silly levels of heat yesterday for the first time while I was on a call. Doesn't burn battery power any more than everything else seems to though.

The reason why its flawed is because it keeps the GPS on for no apparent reason. They should probably take out that permission entirely.

Soon BBM voice and Video will be available on iOs and Android. The minute it's released Skype gets the boot.

Um it's the Android runtime making your baby sweat - Skype just triggers it.
