Interesting... which OS build? I've seen my data usage double since loading 10.2 leaks so I'll have to try the diagnostics switch.

There was a bug when the Z10 first came out. Some phones burned data and battery when diagnostic was turned on. My phone was ok, but my girlfriends used almost a gig a week with vary little usage till a rodgers rep turned it off. He was a BlackBerry guy

I've never turned mine on but it would be interesting to know the real impact, if any, on battery life.

My friend complaint her q10's bat sucks. I recommended a few tricks before (she never even turned off NFC even though she never used it)... but finally thought of this one last week! hopefully it will make her stay on the q... she's been eyeing the iphone...

I could see the battery effect regarding diagnostics being very user dependent simply due to the proximity to the tower, especially with LTE. It is my impression (as in I didn't do any scientific analysis) that LTE isn't a battery hog if you have a decent signal, but if marginal, it really sucks down the battery.

I've been highly selective of which apps I've installed, I've only added one at a time testing it for a week or so to gauge its impact on battery. For instance there was an online dating app that appeared to keep itself "live" all the time so that went As did the early ebay one, although the sideloaded one seemed ok so far.

I'd recommend adding apps one at a time and testing, that way the resource hogs really show themselves up. Oh and the online Sims app eats battery while it's running
