I've said here before why would anybody want NetFlix on a phone. Last night i decided I wanted it so i could watch NetFlix in my room on the 50"plasma i have there.

So get this, I'm sitting in bed and I grab my PlayBook off the charger, boot up SplashTop Streamer and log onto my main Windoze machine in the office. Search for and find the Netflix .bar file. Boot up DDPB on the Win machine, grab the Z10 beside me, flipped it into Development mode, pop its WiFi IP address into DDPB and say connect. It does, load the Netflix bar file into DDPB and send it to the Z10, all through SplashTop on the Playbook. 2 minutes later DDPB says Done, boot up Netflix on the Z10, works great, plug it into the 50" plasma with that lovely HDMI port (my son just realized his S3 doesn't have one after i told him this story) a total elapsed time of maybe 10 minutes, maybe...and I'm watching NetFlix in my room and I NEVER HAD TO EVEN GET OUT Of BED! It's more work to go take a pee!

    is that kool or what?

I sideload stuff all the time using a proxy app between my Note 10.1 & the PlayBook. No wires and works great.

that's pretty cool but personally I just don't get what all the netflix fuss is about... First of all I do have Netflix installed on my ps3 which is obviously hooked up to a big flat screen. However, if I wanted to watch something on my phone there are far better alternatives than netflix. We have a browser with flash in our phones people!! that means, we can pretty much watch anything we want on our phones and for free. That means I can watch Game of Thrones minutes after it has aired and commercial-free, I can even watch live broadcasts of sporting events, basically anything you can think of. Netflix is pretty useless in comparison. Just my opinion though.

Go and Google "nerdberry Netflix bar" and you can get a working copy!

I was inspired by this thread today to get myself a copy -- it works great -- thank you!

Does the sideloaded Netflix app work pretty good? I've been meaning to try it, but I hear reports about how it can be 'laggy' in spots. I converted and tried to sideload the HBO GO app and it turned out to not work.

for crying out loud, just use 1channel or the many sites that have all movies/tv shows.

Looked at 1Channel. Supposedly free, but requires you to enter credit card info for "location validation". I'll pass.

I purchase ALL cables on line at Cable Mart. Even with shiping their stuff is half the price i pay locally at a bricks and mortor.

I think that one was $10 with shipping but MyCableMart.com is the place.
