I heard there are some of the z10 users update to. 4181 on z10 and loss their sms data, so I am worried about losing it... what should I do? should I wait and see what happen to the most who update the MR first?

Mine works flawlessly. Smoother. Not much of a big difference though. I didn't back up but everything is stable. All texts show as well.

If you're worried. Do a back up. Update. And be patient. Don't battery pull.

I updated to .4181 (official from digicel)...worked without any issues! I'd say go for it.

I'm now on the leak .4687 a few hours now and that's running smooth as well! (My first leaked OS)

I updated one of my Z10 today and my Q10 today without any issues.

I would update. If you're unsure, do a backup first. After the initial bootup, I'm finding boot times much faster, and everything seems to be running much faster and more smooth.

I'm one of the unlucky ones who is having major issues. I regret not backing up before hand...I also regret not doing it on a weekend when I could sacrifice the 15 hours I have been with a dead Z10.

Always backup first and go for it.

Mine works perfectly. I had 5-10 minutes while the phone showed at 100%, but I just patiently waited and now it's awesome.

Scrolling is now as smooth as I could imagine. I go to my pictures and scroll just to see how well it works. :-)

I would do it. Before I actually do an OTA update I

• do a backup first with BB Link.then,
• hard reset .i.e. hold the power button down until the red light comes on (don't let go)

When the phone restarts, give it a minute or two to settle down, then start the download and upgrade. I do not have any open Active frames, whlie upgrading.

Yes. My battery life went from 15h to 8h. Essentially cut in half. Really sucks. It dies before I leave work. Ughhhh.

Update, and DON'T PULL THE BATTERY!!! It will take 1-2.5 hours to boot! You might get stuck at 100% just wait and it will boot up! Again don't pull out the battery or you might soft brick it!!

Back everything up with link if you can. Don't battery pull. This is a risky one it seems no matter what you do.

Here's my concern......... Other than (now) horrible battery life, lost messages and having to re-enter email passwords and reload contacts, the update seems ok; except this is a consumer phone and the update should be easy and flawless for "Joe" user! I'm a BB user from away back when, but it's not a great thing if the average user is going to be faced with all these problems when trying to do a manufacture's sponsored update. Maybe now I understand some peoples frustration with Blackberry!

Tried an update last night around 9 pm. Restarted it by 10:30 pm. Woke up this morning at 8 a.m. and the screen was still at the 100% loaded.
