After several failed attempts to update the OS, resulting in BB Hub going missing, I decided to do a Wipe of my Z10, and reload the OS from scratch. The wipe has been going on for eight hours now. I read some other threads, and know that it can take several hours. I also know not to pull the battery. I have Wiped my Playbook a couple of times, and it took no time to complete.

I have to head out for a few hours, so I can't do anything about it until this evening anyways. I just fear that it will still be wiping when I get back. I am just wondering how long I should wait before I give up, and what I should do then. Any suggestions?

That's way too long. I'd hook it up to link and update it that way.

What's it's doing?

If the Wipe icon is gone, it's done. Hold down the Power Button until the Red led comes on.

After 14 hours, I still see the Wipe icon, and the spinning circle underneath. I will turn it off and on, then see if it restarts.

UPDATE:
I turned it off, then on, and the Wipe resumed. Good grief!

FURTHER UPDATE:

I shut it off with the power button, then did a battery pull. Now, it doesn't start. It just shows symbols for the device, arrows, USB and a computer. I suspect it is telling me to plug it into my computer. I can't do that until I get home.
