I know I'm going to come across as snarky or offensive but I'm not trying to be...

1. What is your actual question? See, I ask this because your title says "Security Settings" but you ask why you can't see your friend's pictures and/or how you allow them.

2. What is he using to send these to you? You state "text"; but by definition, there can be no pictures in a text message. Is it in Whatsapp? BBM? MMS? Email? Bluetooth?

3. What Android version is he using and what version of the OS are you running on your Z10?

I don't mean to sound like a pratt, it just helps when you give us all the information you can when asking a question.

Because I am technically challenged, no offense taken. The software release for my Z10 is 10.1.0.4181
I have no idea what his specs are. He claims that when he takes a pic on his Android phone, he can send it to his girl friend's Blackberry without any problem. No cigar when he texts pics to me. I just get a message that says to click on the "Download Now" button, but nothing happens. I guess that I am S.O.L. Thanks anyways.

Try changing the auto retrieve setting in your text app. 3 little dots, mms, scroll down

Does your carrier allow MMS? I dunno. Maybe they're blocking it.

Can you browse the internet on your device?
