Help!
I have a scratch on the plastic cover of my camera. When I take a picture there is a line that runs through the frame. I wanted to know how I could get this fixed

Only way is probably a replacement lens search Google u should be able to pick one up cheap enough

It's not the actual lens that is scratched but the plastic covering the lens

You can try buffing it out with a plastic compound like plastix made by meguires. But it seems like it's glass to me...

Here are the nuts and bolts of it. Even though it is the protection on the exterior of the phone, you can't get it repaired. BlackBerry will not fix it, but will replace the camera module which costs a hundred bucks for th e part. The led and lens cover are part of the camera. I damaged mine, and my choice was pay to replace the module or...... take a modeling knife with a THIN blade, and gently remove the outer protective cover. it will leave a fuzzy adhesive behind on the camera. Use a wooden toothpick, and gently remove the adhesive. No chemicals! I had to do this 2 weeks after I bought the phone. Your camera pictures will be performing properly now, with a slight change to the phone esthetics. Be gentle on the lens when you clean it now, as it is exposed, but recessed within the phone body.
