I just called rogers today and they said the Zed10 to buy outright off of contract is 650. Their month to month price online is deceptive. Damn, this throws things off.

They should honor the online price because if you contact CRTC / CCTC & The BBB they will make them either change it or stick to that price!

I think with Koodo, they still have an activation fee and you have to buy a sim card. Telus, their parent, does not have activation fees and I think includes a sim card. Activation is $35, sim is $10 so that is why koodo is $50 less on pricing. Then you still have to get it unlocked unless you are using it on telus or koodo. Pricing will soon settle in and become all the same I think. Rogers seems to be up to $650 now as well as Telus.

I called last week... quoted $599.. They better get their act together. I have a line I can get it for $139. I am debating if I upgrade ( get hooked for 3 years) or to buy outright?

I don't think unlocking has started yet for any Z10. Regardless why would you want to go to Rogers. The plans are cheaper and better on Koodo anyway.

I was told $599 when I called, $139 with contract. I was also told they may not sell the phone outright without a contact for the first little while. He said they are waiting for a company memo by the end of the day. I remember I couldn't buy a 9900 without contact from any cellular supplier for the first week. That maybe the case since if it was not, I'd buy the lot and sell them on eBay.

I may just do that buy outright... as someone above mentions... more leverage. They have to sell it to me, I reserved 1.

I was just called by a Rogers rep (AML Communications?) and they said my device will be ready tomorrow. When she asked if I had questions I said "How much?" lol she said "$139.99" and so I said "Sorry, I meant off contract" which she replied "$599.99" just like the website says. Not sure where you got 650 from... but the post on the CB home page is likely an unbiased generalization between Bell and Rogers. After tax it will be more than 650 anyway, and depending on if they charge activation fees, env disposal fee, etc...

When you buy outright, you pay taxes only. NO admin fee..

I think there is a $50 mail in rebate being offered by Rogers. I wouldn't be surprised if that was causing some of the confusion here.

So you all guys will understand this. Rogers will add $50 ontop of the $139.99 price. So the price at the store you will see is $189.99. Once you said in the rebate or do it online after the hardware upgrade, the invoice will show $139.99 & show the $50 mail in rebate.

    You are welcome.

The $50 mail in rebate is ONLY for customers that want to renew their contract & upgrade to a new phone. The outright price will stay the same. I was hoping maybe they would bring down the price a bit to lets say $129 or $100 but its okay.

your bill not invoice, the invoice will show the phone at 189.99 one month, the next month it will show -50$

Bill & Invoice is the same. The contact at the store will show $189.99 but the bill aka invoice when you get it when your monthly bill is up will show $189.99 - $50 = $139.99. This is how mine goes.
