I got a notification but I think I'll wait till I get home and do a backup first. Not that I've ever had any problems with my PlayBook updates.

This is a great sign... official OTA update from the carrier 3 weeks after launch. Downloading it now! Hopefully it doesn't act similarly to leaked updates that wipe things... I haven't been able to do a backup through BB Link yet!

Question is.... is this version higher than the .648 that leaked? Is this .850 or just .85...... didn't this come up in a PlayBook update at some point a year or so ago?!

same here... OTA shouldn't require a back-up (unless it does a back-up automatically and stores in memory somehow)... that would be sweet!

The fact that it's OTA and you could technically be notified of it anywhere means that it shouldn't require a backup because you might not be able to perform a backup. I hope!

Yes, I noticed the notification a few minutes ago after returning from running and am currently downloading the 149 MB update (BlackBerry OS 10 Version 10.0.10.85) over WiFi from Rogers.

If it's not showing up as a notification in the hub, swipe down from homescreen, settings, software updates

Edit: this update is only for Rogers customers (I think) so you won't see it if you're not a Rogers customer
