Is this number for the whole of Canada? Or just your individual city?
- 12-17-2012, 08:55 AM #5
Any indication on pricing or delivery dates when you reserved?
I hope Verizon does something similar - 12-17-2012, 08:57 AM #6
They say within 15 days of release or something like that. Other than that they said there will be more information in early 2013.

15 days of release? Does that mean you could wait up to two weeks after they are for sale to get it? I've heard stories of it happening that way, hope they don't do you like that.

^Yes. But what they're saying is they'll try to get it to us within 15 days as soon as possible. It could be that they make it available the same day as it goes on sale.

I just called rogers, and it's for all of Canada and the guy said, those on the waitlist should have the device the day the handset is ready to be sold. So say it's Wednesday February 13th, I should be able to go into the store that day and pick it up....

Rogers Device reservation for the L Series now!!
In the long run it makes it better for them to encourage early ordering to reduce the rush when it's available, so it is in their best interest to make it worthwhile for you by being the first to get one. So I bet you get it on or prior to launch day. Good Luck.

If you want to be one of the first people with a BB10 device, I'd avoid the Rogers reservation system. If you must use it, only pick a Rogers corporate store to pick up your device. Otherwise, you're at the mercy of the authorized retailer's warehouses.

FYI for anyone who is wondering about Telus, this is their response to my question about pre-ordering with them.

$40? ...really? I'm a BB Fan, but does anyone really think there will be a waiting list or a device shortage at launch, that you couldn't just walk in and grab a device on the day it becomes available....or even a day or two later?
I'm happy Rogers is doing this (shows support by the carrier), but $40 seems very steep and kind of silly - 12-17-2012, 09:20 AM #14Thanked by 2:

I would totally do this, but I'm not with Rogers. This is likely their way of seeing how much hype this phone could really get, I hope the numbers are high!

Number 92 here.
Rogers does this so we don't have to line up outside the store on launch day. They do this for all major release devices. If there is a device shortage, like there was with the iphone5, you still have your place in line for when they receive stock.Z10

Its a smart thing to do. Its so stupid to make people wait for days outside stores.

Just got mine reserved... #123. And to answer the questions above, this is not for the device mailed to you... it's to have one at the store of your choice to go pick up. As soon as it's released for sale, said store will have a unit with my name on it

Wow this could mean I'm the 43rd person in the world to get a BB10. The 1st guy must be so lucky.

Forget #1 or #5.... Whoever has #10 is the lucky one... hahaha
- 12-17-2012, 10:11 AM #25
I guarantee many people will have a BB10 phone before the person #1 on Roger's reservation list

I'm interested to see how high this number will go. I hope people keep posting here as they reserve.
