I'd really be grateful if someone could please point me to a download link for the compatible android Runtime file for STL-3, Z10 (not Q10), OS 10.1.0.4780 (NOT OS 10.2!)? I keep finding ones for 10.2! Unfortunately while i was not educated enough i downloaded a 10.2 runtime version from goodrereader and now it has a PERMANENT thingy and just wont get uninstalled. Thanks to that sideloading doesnt work for me So pls pls pls pls help!

From all the posts i read it seems like the only way to get rid of it is to replace it with the right version; so if you do know of a way to remove it, then also, please let me know!!! Many thanks!!!

PS: And i prefer to avoid installing OS10.2 even though its official...just wanna wait till my software update option does it - and right now it doesnt.

First things first.. there's no difference between the runtimes in the Q or the Z, so if you find one from either, you're good to use it.

That said, we didn't really swap runtimes on 10.1. so I don't know of any download links for a 10.1 run time.. you may have to find a 10.1 OS and Split out the run time to side load to your device..

I know easier said then done if you've never worked with OS's before.. but it's not really that difficult if you take some time to read the sideloading forums.

The other option of course is just to upgrade your phones software, any autoloader be it for a newer version of 10.1, 10.2 or even 10.2.1 will come with it's compatible runtime.. once you upgrade it'll already be in there so no need to worry about fixing it.

Sys.android and sys.android.shell constitute the Android runtime; not sure what sys.android.shell does, but sys.android is the important one.

These specific files are from BlackBerry's servers, and are the latest 10.1 Android runtime that we have.

OMG! THAT IS AWESOME! THANK YOU! It took away the 10.2 sys.android!!! Unfortunately, sideloading still did not work for me, but i guess i'll just wait for 10.2 and hope that should sort it out.

If you would just use sachesi and download the OFFICIAL 10.2 from rogers you would be set! My sideloads are working great. It will be next year before 10.2 is released in the US, an article said "this winter " which hasn't even started yet!!!

If you think side loads are working great on 10.2 wait until you give 10.2.1 a try. It's life changing.

Haha just luc and curvzzz you guys rrrrrrrrrrrrreally tempt me to just upgrade to 10.2.1!! And maybe I will ...in a few days when I get more tech-comfy and BB-comfy. This is my first bb and 1st smartphone; and ive never used one b4. So i have a lil learning curve here! Meanwhile, THURASK I wanna tell you JUST how AWESOME you are. When i rebooted my phone, voila! omg ALL the sideloaded apps (except yelp) WORK!!! Well these are the ones i wanted most and you just made me a happy girl!!! THANK YOU! +1trillion! x

Glad to hear it newbie! Enjoy. It's a great phone.

When you decide you're up for it there's a tone of great info about the Os's on the forums. But truthfully, if you were able to figure out how to sideload you'll have no problem loading an OS. If anything it's easier. Careful though, you may find yourself addicted and refreshing the forums at all hours to see if new leaks have emerged.. Umm, I mean I've heard that can happen.. from a friend.

I'm not suggesting the 10.2.1 leak. I meant 10.2 official. I have never used a leak on bb10 nor an autoloader. Sachesi is just like sideloading, if u can do that 10.2 is a breeze.
