Is there a way on the z10 to restrict one's identity by hiding the number? This was previously available through options in the call menu of the torch

I can't for the life if me see any phone settings for disabling "showy number". What steps did you use please?

Hi guys. I have a Q10 and I do not see the show my number menu option. Am I missing something? Do I need to wipe clean and start over?

I think this is an option blocked by VZW. I'm gonna guess that your Q10 is on Verizon, right? I have noticed this same option missing on VZW iphones where it is present on AT&T iphones, and now I am noticing the same thing with the Q10's on VZW versus AT&T.

Why would VZW block this option/setting for their users? You can still do it on a call-by-call basis by dailing *67 or always block it when calling a specific number by dialing *82+number. Maybe they were getting too many customer service calls when people unconsciously had their identity blocked and could get through to destinations that refused to accept calls from blocked callers!?!

Anybody else notice this, yet?

Verizon, here. No option on the Z10 using the Leak 10.2.1.1055

Although I thought I saw that option somewhere but I just looked in overall Settings Security/Privacy and not there either. Hmmm.....

It is usually controlled by the operator, operators in some countries don't allow number to be hidden. So even if you enable the feature, your number may still show or you may not be allowed to make calls.
