I keep sending unintended text messages when I intend to hit backspace/delete or period "...".

Have you done this too?

My suggestion: Swipe up on the keyboard send button (like for auto prediction words) to send rather than a tap on the keyboard. The send key should also be where the emoticon button is located. (I still think it should be swiped because you could hit send when trying to type "O" or "P".)

Yup happened to me multiple times. When hitting the back button I always hit the send instead. I minimized that since I'm more accustomed to swipe left to backspa

I keep forgetting about that. I'll have to try to use that feature more often but a lot of times I'm just trying to erase a couple letters not the entire word.

Yup.. done that a few times when backspacing. This is quickly followed by a facepalm emoticon and apology for odd txt.
