Hi all, I notice that new unread messages in BBM and Whatspp are "automatically" read as I open the app. In other words, I have no way of knowing what messages are unread and what's already read. It gets annoying if i get a bunch of messages and I have to scroll up and figure out where I earlier left off the convo.

Yes, I understand what you are saying and that does seem to be the case. However, if you check your hub, you can see the latest messages there and determine if you ned to go into the app itself. It's just the way the app works for now.
