I have had my factory unlocked Z10 since October 2013, and since then I have been only able to send a handful of text messages to my contacts. There is usually this annoying pop up that says I need to delete some messages from my handset which is ridiculous since I have over 10GB of space.
Only I can't communicate is via BBM or WhatsApp.

You text might be storing on sim card and not phone.

Are you somehow mistakenly saving your SMS to your SIM card?

How much of that 10GB is available? I think the phone is saying device memory is full not just the memory allocated to text.

After the OS upgrade I was able to receive messages. I was not saving to SIM card, I don't know what the problem was... It was a thing with BB10 devices in Kenya, according to most people I talked to.
Thank God it resolved itself.
