i just bough tmy z10 yesterday and it has rebooted about 40 times so far, about 5-10 times every hour.. im runnning 10.2.1.2141. if anyone can help me id really appreciate it! i have also shimmed the battery aswell and nothing, still reboots

I was trying to help fool. There has been many many threads on battery life. If ppl would take 2 mins and do a thread search before posting threads that already exists it would be easier to find the info needed.

Maybe the battery is loose. Add some paper under the battery to make sure it is tightly fitted.

Yes this very well could be the culprit.

I had this issue with my lumia 520 I had to shove paper on beside the battery much like this photo.

BUT TEST IT FIRST!!! Because if it's not the culprit you might need to keep the paper there

Try the paper shim first. But the couple of times I experienced reboots I traced it to an app.

Can you return it to the seller. Sounds like you got a bad unit. (and the original post said he shimmed the battery).
