Does anyone have any issues with their Z10 rebooting whenever they set their device down? I find that if I put it down on a hard surface nonchalantly (not like throwing it down, but not delicately either) red light pops on and it reboots. Verizon on Rogers network 10.2.1

Sounds like a loose battery. Could also be a slightly loose back cover which allows the battery to move. Doesn't take much to disconnect the battery.

Probably you have a loose battery. Put a sheet of paper between the battery and the battery door, to fix it in place.

Better to put something thin (I use painters tape) over the back end of the battery, to keep it snug at the top where it makes contact. Since adding two layers of tape I have had no more problems for over 6 months now...

If snugging up the battery does not help, then some other circuitry is amiss and the phone should be repaired or replaced under warranty.

I've got some paper folded up behind the battery, so far so good

I'm on my 5th replacement since February '13. Two of them were returned due to this exact problem. I use sim lock so I must put the sim pin in every time it reboots. Do this and u will realise how often it is actually rebooting in your pocket and not just when ur laying it down. Gets ridiculous so send it back now and get it fixed I say. Good luck.

Before you replace the phone try a new battery. My old storm 2 used to do this and it was a faulty battery.
