Not sure if this has been discussed yet but should we be expecting a fix for the random reboot issue in the upcoming 10.2 OS?

I mean I'm sure we're all hoping for the fix to be there but anyone aware of any additional reliable information?

This thread is in no way a thread to discuss everyone's random reboot problems, yes they exist amongst us. Just wondering if anyone's got any additional useful information. Thanks.

I've seen people report that they continue to have the problem even after those updated versions.

I installed the 10.2 leak the day is was released on my verizon stl100-4 and haven't had a reboot issue yet but there is definetly some other bugs so I'm sure with the next few updates it should be rock solid. The same issue that is persisting is the ability to connect for RFA with mobile connection on. I can connect via wifi only. An it doesn't have to be same network but no connection over mobile and if mobile is on can't connect at all.

I''m running on the latest 10.2 leak. My devices randomly reboots at least 5 times a day. At this rate i'm ready to go back to 10.1.
The fix came in OS 10.1.0.1916 and upwards.

I'm running 10.2 now, and never experienced random reboot ever since.
There are lots of bugs found, and no surprise since this is leaked OS anyway.
But, the OS performance was pretty smooth and fast. Not to mention many new features on board as well.
I'm sure the upcoming official OS 10.2 will be worth to wait.

I started out with Verizon's stock 10.0 OS and had the reboots constantly. I since have loaded 10.1.0.2354, 10.1.0.4687 and I am now running 10.2.0.1047. I have not had a reboot since loading the first leak. My Wife is still running 10.1.0.2354 and has not had a reboot since. I just have not had time to bump her up to the 10.2.0.1047 as of yet. So for most of us, yes the reboots are gone. If they are not I would dare to say you might have a hardware issue.

I think i might have linked an the cause of the reboots. I'm running the new BBM channels. The reboots tend to happen more frequently in the afternoon (Eastern Time). Maybe the BBM Channels doesn't play nice with 10.2. So what i will do tonight is not install BBM channels and see what happens. Out of curiosity, anyone running the newest 10.2 and running BBM Channels?

I've on AT&T and only had a few reboots with the "stock" OS 10.0.
Upgaded to their SW Release 10.2.0.2019 (OS Version 10.1.0.2074) when they pushed it
and have NOT had a problem since, though I never did have much of a problem before, maybe
just once a week or so.

I think I figured it out. I had to switch over to my Q10 as the reboots on my z10 (running 10.2) were all to frequent. Since I removed the sim (verizon) it has not rebooted once. Must be the radio causing it.

I hope you figured it out because these reboots on my Q10 are very annoying. AT&T is sending me a new phone.

Are you running 10.1 MR? That cut the reboot interval down to a week for me...I'm hoping it was the last one.

I had similar problems, and on the 29th day I called T-mobile, they said if I had sideloaded apps that were android, which I did Chase Mobile bank and Google Maps. They said the apps might cause software probles. I removed them, tested for 2 days, still rebooting. Called 611 again, this time they asked me to back up and wipe the phone, tested and with minimal apps. The reboots happened within 3hrs. Called back customer care. They sent me a replacement, But I sent it back cause the space bar key was all loose, they sent me a 2nd one, all with prepaid overnight shipping (great service). Restored my back-up file, and have not had any problems since. I also had network issues on my first phone along with random reboots and no SIM recognition. Overall, some of these Random Reboots, may just be a hardware issue, no me wants to hear it, specially after coughing up $$$, but I still did my device switch the warranty period.

It's actually anything above 10.1.0.2050 that they go away and I will verify it because I had reboots on the charger like a few a week the rebooting stopped after the 10.1 MR leak/10.2 leak for good.

On 10.2 with Channels latest issue. ATT 100-3 have reboots about one or two a week from the beginning. All hours of the day. Still happening as of yesterday. Channels works just fine.

I had maybe 3 mystery shutdown/reboots prior to the 10.2 update. None since the upgrade. However, there may be a quality control issue since when I touch the back if the phone to any surface (at random times) It's prone to rebooting. There's a solution on another thread.

My random reboot issue was fixed sometime in 10.1.xxx. I'm now on 10.2 & it's still fixed.

For those still having issues, AT&T did the following for me & I haven't had a problem since:

    - replaced phone
    - replaced microSIM card
    - replaced battery

    Good luck!

I have now exceeded the 7 days since my last reboot, so maybe the problem is permanently fixed for me with the MR update.

And I spoke too soon because the phone rebooted. If it reboots one more time, I will try removing the media card, although I doubt that's the problem because I haven't been doing anything on it for at least half an hour. It also doesn't seem to be an email problem because I haven't had any new messages. This doesn't exclude the possibility of some other radio issue.

The new reboot-free interval was 9 days, so things are getting better. If it does persist, I will look into getting a different unit, and maybe try my hand at swapping it for a Q10.
