I keep having random old calendar appointments from 2009 pop up on my device calendar.

When I go in and look at the details it says it's set to a recurring appointment weekly.

If I change the recurring to never or even delete the appointment and all instances of it from my calendar it will pop back up on the calendar after a few days.

It's like it is re syncing and re adding these appointments.

But what is it syncing to? It's only set on my device calendar.


How do I stop these appointments?

Use the Search function to look for the name / subject title of the event. And see if there is still that one appointment that is stuck somewhere. By right once you delete the appointment, it should take care of things.

Had you sync-ed your device calendar with a calendar on your desktop. Look for it and also delete it.
