I've had this phone since launch day and I have to say, I'm very impressed with the quality of materiel used for the battery cover (black). It doesn't appear that it picks up any oil from your hands at all, and it still looks flawless after using it for 12 days. Very nicely played BB.

Also, when you put the black Z10 down, the soft, textured back grips the surface a bit.

I'm glad I resisted the white one.

I agree that when you take it off, it does initially seem a little flimsy. But when it's on, I'm finding it to be very solid. And yeah, big points for the texture as well, the grippy finish is a very nice touch.
