I used to have a perfect working Z10 (yes they do exist) until I updated to 10.1

My Z10 now displays the wrong name of a caller, gets hot, battery drain is ridiculous, alarm symbol no longer displays, pushes emails when I have push disabled etc etc

I would appreciate any help as I now seriously regret upgrading to 10.1

I'm sure you have already done a battery pull and taken the sim out and such.

Along with those methods I would try a security wipe, a hard reset and the thing that will most likely work is downloading the latest 10.1 leak! Good luck man!

Yeah dude I have tried everything you mention but still with no success at all

Dammit I knew I should have just stayed with 10.0, not giving up though as the Z10 an amazing bit of kit!

Do a factory reset. Go back to 10.0 and reload. Should work.

STL 100-? version, what carrier? Did you update to 10.1 OTA or via autoloader? What version of 10.1 are you on?
After you tried wiping, did you restore the data?

I had similar issues for couple days too. And my WhatsApp became messed up, Contacts also lost


1. Make sure the sync of contacts is turned on on the phone email settings.
2. In Gmail. Only IMAP is on. But pop is off. Should be similar with most other email. Contacts and push mail became stable after that change.

It will take hours depending on the contact size for the server to learn ,link and sort. Mine is over 3000 including duplicates and 3 email contacts link.

10.1 is better than 10.0. But some of the settings need to be re checked. Huge improvements to android ported apps. And duplicated contacts is gond.
