I was trying to sideload Snap onto my z10 with the help of the blog instructions. But when I typed in the ip address from the Development Mode it gave me a 404 error. At the end, I had to put add my IPv4 ip address in the extension for Google Chrome in order for me to get it working.

The question I have is, did it matter if I used the ip address from the Development Mode or IPv4 on my phone?

You should add the ip adress that is listed in the developer mode. You should also install Java on the Pc. If you haven't already

I tried adding the ip address in the developer mode but it erases my IPv4 ip address. And when i click the developer mode ip address, it brings me to a 404 error also but when I click the IPv4 ip address it brings me to the page I need to go.

And I do have java on my mac, requirement for my computer science courses.

Hmm that's really strange. Sadly I can't replicate the error since I don't have a mac.

But I found this guide for Mac.

Try going through that. Credit to phantograms for putting it together

If you don't have BB Link installed you will need to turn on wifi and enter in the network IP not the 169.... IP
If Link is installed it should prompt you for a password when you plug in the USB cable and yes you need to enter it
Also, ya step 1 insert USB cable LOL otherwise you need to use the wifi IPV4 address

I had BB link installed and my phone connected to the mac with a USB cable. But it sounds like you can use the ip and the IPv4.

So how did it go? Were you able to get it on the phone?
