Hello all. For some reason I am unable to connect to any of my contacts using BBM voice or video (my BBM contacts). They cannot call me either. Is something wrong? If we try to "answer", the prompt shows "connecting" and keeps showing that until it says the person was unavailable. From the caller side, it just shows "calling" and nothing happens. I tried a restart of my phone but that hasn't worked either.

Also, if you try to initiate from the regular phone contact screen (by scrolling down their list of contact numbers to BBM Voice or Video) the prompt says something like "attempting to open the BBM service. Please try again later."

So how can I fix this? My two different friends are experiencing the same issue.

Yes. I also tried it off wifi but it didn't work that way either.

Have you updated your bbm lately

I went to BlackBerry World and did a "check for updates" but it says I have nothing to update.

Go into installed and hit your BBM it might say update when it opens.

Well I tried that but it says there are no updates. I am on version 10.6.3.10.

The newest is 10.6.5.10 go into settings and refresh under general in settings and try again.

Sorry. I am not finding "General" under settings. I went in to several different areas (Software Update, Device Manager, Apps) and I can't find anything like that or any place to "refresh." Thanks for your help and patience.

open BB world apps store swipe down from the top and go into settings, in to general and hit the refresh

Thanks. Well, I tried doing that and I still do not have an update. It says I have no updates to install. I wonder if this is Verizon related? I see I can contact the developer but I don't know if that is where to go.

myver (then press the spacebar)

it will show your OS and phone model.

We didn't mention os numbers, and who in there right mind would still be on 10.2

Hi again. Well, I am assuming this is a Verizon thing but I am on OS 10.2.1.2976. Like so many others, I am waiting and waiting for 10.3.

I ended up going to another friend's house and tried BBM and it worked there. So perhaps my issue had something to do with the wifi at my house? If so, why would it also not allow my friends to connect from their homes to me?

If its your wifi it effects incoming and outgoing
