Yes its very safe. Been using playbook wall charger (1.8) since Feb 5th, plus a car charger (1.8), and they charge the Z10 nicely.

The PlayBook charger is great, it charges the Z10 very quickly. OP, is it on sale somewhere? Wouldn't mind grabbing one for the office.

Same here and right it will not harm it as crackberry would not be selling it for the z10 as well as the playbook.

My phone from 20% will charge to 100% on hour to hour & half.

Make sure it's not the rapid charger as that is different charger only playbook can use.

I was hoping the BlackBerry Z10 had a magnetic charge port instead of microUSB but that aside the 1800 mAh charger is safe with the BlackBerry Z10 battery. As soon as I receive my OtterBox Defender case I will be using my in-car 1.8 mAh charger for both the BlackBerry Z10 and BlackBerry PlayBook.

safe, but disappointed that it only gains 1% per min. so 1-1/2 hours for full charge.
