[GS51]

Well i installed update 10.2.0.429 and then whe i want to open the photos app, it opens up with a black screen. I can select recents and all that but nothing shows up, just black. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not yet, ill try it as soon as i get home.
To do it i hold the volume up and down together right?

Yes until the blue bb symbol comes up.

So i tried the volume buttons and.nothing happened, i have the stl 100-1 so i think the volume buttons dont do the hard reboot. Any other way to do it?

It does NOT work with that version. Press and HOLD the Power ON button. I'm not sure that it goes to the Colored logo.

If that does not work. Turn off the phone by pressing and holding the Power Button and allow it to turn off. Only after it is OFF, remove the battery for about 15 minutes. You might have to try finding the photo bar file and sideloading that, if possible.

Well i tried holding the power button for like 10 seconds the BB logo appeared in white and then removed my finger when the blue BB logo appeared,still the same black photos app. Im going to try the side load for the photos app any idea where i might get that ? Sachesi maybe, by clicking the get links button ? Oh and is it safe if i remove the photos.bar from the phone and then sideload it again ?

There was a thread where someone posted a link to mega where the separate bar files could be found but I don't recall the thread or which OS the bar files were from. Sachesi might work. Others are probably more expert at some of this stuff.

Well i tried it before you posted, couldnt resist.. So i opened up sachesi and searched for the update normally and grabbed the links for the sys.pictures.bar, i then went to sideload it via chrome extension and voila it finally works no more black screen. Photos app opens normally. Thanks guys for your time. Cheers
