My sister has a Z10. I loaded a leak on it. Lately it's been turning off randomly. It's not the random reboots, or at least I don't think so, for I used to get those and this is different. It shows the count down screen and you can even cancel it. If you catch it before it turns off, it won't shut down.

I'm almost certain it's a hardware issue. But since I do have a leak on it, just wanted to to ask if anybody has experienced anything like this. Thanks.

My Z10 didn't do random things untill 10.2. Now I catch it doing reboots every now and then. It my be hardware, but you did say you loaded a leak in it...

Roll back to 10.1 and see if the behaviour continues.

Yeah. Perhaps. Hmm but the weird part is that it shows the countdown screen like when you hold down the power button. And you can even cancel it. Does yours do that?

Sounds like the button on top is flaky. How are you with a screw driver?

I'd take it apart and check to make sure there was nothing in there either making a short circuit or putting pressure on it.

Hmmm that's scary. Lol. I wonder if T-Mobile would replace it. Doubt it

Certainly doesn't sound like an hardware issue if the reboots started after loading leak. Sounds like the software!

Recent 10.2.1 leaks have seen some users complaining about returning and recurring reboots.

Well it didn't start with a leak. It started recently. The leak has been on the phone for a while.

The countdown appears on a button push and hold. That's hardware.

Random reboots can be hardware or software.

Yeah, could be hardware. This new bit of info you added seems to point at that.

I got my Z from Telus in February and had 2 reboots in the first 2 weeks and then didn't have another one until this week. I've installed almost every leak that has been released, including 3 other 10.2 leaks. I installed 10.2.1.575 5 days ago and have had 3 reboots since.

My reboots have all been the same. The phone just does a black screen and restarts. I have never seen the shutdown/restart screen.

It does sound Iike you have some kind of hardware issue.
