Can any one suggest a case that will keep metal filings/dust/sawdust and concrete dust out of my phone speakers. That doesn't make the phone to bulky. I'm getting frustrated taking it back for repair every 3 weeks. This last time may not be covered. I keep it in my shirt pocket which has a flap covering the phone. Come one BlackBerry were not all blue collar workers out here and with all the new unlimited talk plans out there. People are calling me more than texting. Other than that it works pretty good. Thanks.

May just try a piece of clear tape over the speaker. You can probably still hear through it.

What about a zip loc polythene bag, it might sound like a non starter but it will keep everything out and you can still use it without taking it out.

You could also leave any other case on for protection and just take it out when you aren't in the environment where the filings are.

I throw mine in a ziplock when out hiking or cross country skiing to keep water or moisture out

So far good with zip lock bag. So professional looking. I don't understand why there isn't a case made to protect it from my environment.

Good to hear the zip loc is working, perhaps it's too much a niche market to invest in designing and making a case to protect the phone from filings?

What about a BlackBerry flip case?

This case covers the entire face including the speakers. Can't see how any saw dust or any other fragments, can get that close to the speaker with the flap covering the entire face of the phone.

Well, I've got a heavy duty "ziplock" by Seal Line. But I have not tried operating the phone with the case on.

We just bought this case and my daughter used it for kayaking. She was able to text on the phone and take photos with it on. She has a Z10.

I have metal grindings. The speaker has a magnet. Doesn't take long for it to burro holes through the material to get to magnet
