Hey folks, Just recently, after a reboot, my phone's battery started to drain super quickly.

I noticed that the photos app is not showing any of the pictures I took with the z10. They are stored on the media card, not being displayed, but I can access them from the files app.

Phone runs hot, and has to be connected to a power source, else it will die...

    Anyone experience this issue?

i have had the photos that are stored on the memory card not appear in the photos app from time to time, but not causing heat and battery drain.
Do you have any android sideloads?
In my experience, these have been the root of most of my issues.

perhaps posting your OS and device type will help the forum get to the bottom of this?
also, did a reboot solve your problem?

    Hi stabstabdie,

    10.1.0.4181
    STL100-3

I have rebooted with no success.
I don't have any side loaded android apps.

    Thanks for the response!

Back up and do a factory reset using BlackBerry Link. Did you recently update to 10.1 by any chance? After my update, same thing. I did reset and just fine now.

    Here's my update folks!

Took the time to back everything up.
Started to delete and re-add some apps.
Removed: box, times news app, cbc.

    Reinstalled box and cbc.

All worked... don't know if the times app or box was the culprit...

    Regardless, it's resolved!

    Battery is now depleting normally.
