OS 10.0.10.88 available for the BlackBerry10 Z10 Smartphone at Telcel

Mexico's biggest carrier, (and the only one with exclusive distribution rights for the Z10) released a software update, which allows the use of WhatsApp,

The good thing, is that apparently the Z10 is sold out,
The bad... apparently they were expecting weak demand, and they shipped very few devices, what really annoys me is that the phone was released last saturday... and still no Telcel store has the Z10 on display, it's very hard to compete like that.
Hopefully BlackBerry will do something to turn things here in Mexico city.

BTW I am a new owner of a white Z10 and I totally love it!!!! I was expecting good, but not these good... well done BlackBerry, and I will wait for Bloomberg, Shazam and MLB At Bat to make this phone PERFECT.

Just so you know you're not alone.....I downloaded the 10.88 version earlier today from Telcel.

I bought my phone in Canada.....I wasn't aware it was selling in Mexico already. What is the off contract price? $12,000 Pesos?

damn. I've just returned from 4 days in DF. Didn't even think to walk into a TelCel store because I assumed they weren't carrying it.

Blarg, Iusacell is still using 10.0.9.348. I'll try a Telcel SIM to get the update.

You cannot buy it off contract yet but it will cost 10600.

10 days ago or so, I went to a Telcel store and bought a white Z10 for my wife. It was MXN $10,679.00 off-contract (Amigo Kit). I chose to pay it in 12 interest free installments.

Then, I got an unlock code from BlackBerryCodeSource dot com, which worked like a charm.

And later, I went into a Iusacell store to get a Micro SIM card for my wife's brand new and shiny Z10. Iusacell doesn't have an LTE network yet, but the 4G connection (HSPA+, I think) works as it should.

She couldn't be happier. She upgraded from a 3 year old Curve 8530.

I wasn't willing to wait for Iusacell and/or BlackBerry M�xico to get their acts together, so I decided to take matters into my own hands
