I love my Z10. I really do... but I swear whoever decided the backspace button should be directly over the send key is totally crazy.

At least 10 times a day I try to back space to fix a typo.. only to hit send accidentally.

Ok... I took the advice and started using the left swipe. its awesome. I'm an *****. I now officially hate nothing about the phone.

I never use the backspace button. I just do the swipe left. It's easier and sexier to do.

Not really , it's the same for android phones too. Never had any issue. You should probably use swipe to the left to delete instead of the button since you're having trouble or fix your habits. I hold my thumbs at shift and delete, not at the ?123 and Send keys

I had a Z10 for almost a week before trading it in for a Q, never had that problem. Not sure what device you were using before but if it was a BlackBerry then typing on a touch screen will call for a little adjust to how you tap the letter. Gotta be using more of the tip of your finger and not push ad hard.

I keep my thumbs over the caps lock and the backspace button... but after your comment I checked and even though that's where my thumbs are... my natural motion is a curve down... so I actually end up hitting the button below the one I am hovering over. I guess I could try to make my thumbs stay over the A and L... I think swipe left is the better option though.

I came from a RAZR Maxx... God I hated that thing. I basically stopped texting at all because it was so bad.

Pro tip:

You can swipe keyboard to left with 2 or 3 fingers to delete 2 or 3 words, respectively.
