I notice when I was typing with the keyboard today the display was making some noise when I hit the area around the space bar.

If I push the screen down. It seems to lock back in place, and the noise is gone. Well I don't hear or feel anything to indicate that it is locking back in place, but the sounds go away.

Anything I should worry about? Should I have it checked ASAP? I plan to wait for a recurrence, unless advised otherwise.

Be safe, have it checked out. Do you have insurance on the device?

No. Just the warranty. The device was supplied by a carrier.

Yes, best to have it checked. As I was typing the previous reply, the noise came back.

It will have to go through my carrier. Oh no.

The problem appears to be gone. I was wondering of it might have something to do with ambient conditions. Today was a particularly humid day. The weather is cooler now, and the screen is not making any noise.

Earlier today though when I was tapping around the screen, it seem like the area between the space bar and ?123 was the part that was loose.

I guess I will just wait and see if it recurs.

Try pressing the blackberry logo below the space. Sometimes if my phones running hot it clicks when I swipe up. My Z10 Has always done this since I got it in February.

Yup. That is the same place I had the problem. It is gone now. Am glad. Would hate to have to send this phone for repair.

Three days. No recurrence. I think I will charge it off the expansion and compression due to temperature.

Went to the BlackBerry Service center today. Looks like the front assembly of my phone has to be replaced. Part not available to I will have to go back in three or four weeks. Luckily, once the part is available, the phone can be repaired in 24 hours.

You sure it's not the battery case "creak" syndrome?

Search the forums, many have that issue.

No. It is the display. From the left corner to the BlackBerry label.

Lightly press down on the BlackBerry label and the clicking sound goes away for a bit.

I just wanted to post the resolution to this issue. As promised BlackBerry had the needed part shipped. Apparently a full front panel means the entire phone sans battery and battery cover. So I turned in my unit and they replaced it.

Mines been doing this since February, as I'm in the UK blackberry could not care less. Contacted my carrier who said contact blackberry, and they decided not to respond. Over it now but I doubt I will be getting another blackberry.

Sorry to hear that. A loose display does seem to be a manufacturing defect.

Mine was doing that for about 2 months and hasn't for for the past 2 or 3 months.. was debating whether or not to take it back... I'm on Telus, how is their warranty?

It's funny they didn't just give you a new Z10 since they have so many of them laying around...

Might sound strange, but I think the issue might be connected to humidity.

I did that once with my curve. Not only did I make a complete mess of the phone, I also glued my fingers to it.

That was Crazy Glue. Bad bad decision.

Actually I was thinking along those lines. Although I don't remember if it was humid or not when it was happening. All I know is that it was loose behind the blackberry stamp. I could almost click it like a button

The number seems to be growing. If the issue comes back I think I won't bother having it replaced again. But let's keep out fingers crossed. So far no problems, but it has not been humid, though it is very hot here right now.
