    i am running the 10.2.1.641,will the official update still show up even tho this os is a higher numbered version?

    Logic dictates that an update notification is triggered when something of a higher version is released when compared to the current OS installed.

    Your current OS' version is higher than they one being released.

    Not so logic. I have 10.2.0.1371 and today I received an update available notification for 10.2.0.424

    Carriers go by "software version" numbers. The number you have is the OS version. Software version 424 is OS version 10.2.0.1791. That is a higher (newer) OS number than yours and why you got the notification.

    That's because 10.2.1371 is the OS version and 10.2.0.424 is the bundle version for 10.2.01791 (the actual OS version).

    Logic never fails.
