Has anyone else experienced some hassles with the top button? Mine randomly stops working, including switching the phone off. And then a few hours later it starts working on it's own. There is still a sound when i press the button, so it's not temporarily stuck or something. Could it just be a phone issue for me?

Does the screen respond? Or is it just the button that is non responsive?

The screen is fine. And my magnetic cover switches it off. It's just the button that doesn't respond

That's freaking weird, personally I would be worried about hardware failure sooner or later, I would think about looking for warranty exchange.

I've had a problem when the whole touch screen/top button stopped responding while building hybrids, and it as OS specific
I would update to newest leak 4633, which I can verify is working fine
If it still does that, than maybe take it back

You're not alone. I am experiencing the same from time to time. Started in OS 10.1, have not seen it with OS 10.0 before.
The only workaround is to holster it. (Or a reboot...)

A bit weird but fortunately it is not a serious bug. Btw for sure it is a software flaw.
