Hey I have a Z10 and I'm not getting texts from my friends who have iPhone. Any way for them to update my contact info to fix this?

Did you used to have an iPhone too? When I first got z10 and texted a friend, his reply arrived on my SIMless iPhone as an I message .

Yeah they are coming in as I messages on my old iPhone but not as text messages to my Z10

I am having the same trouble, too. Thanks Gregory! I just went turn off the iMessage of my son's iPhone, which belonged to me before the switch to Z10.

I hate Apple. Just another one of their ways they alienate consumers to force them to stay on their platform. I have zero respect for Apple and am so glad I've never given them a penny. And I never will.

Anyway, glad you got the Imessage issue resolved. You'd think they would have fixed it by now. I mean seems like such a simple fix if they have any interest at all to patch that..

Apple doesn't see it as an issue so it will never be addressed. If you never leave ios you will never have this problem. If you do then you will assume the problem is with your carrier or your new device. I think the problem eventually corrects itself but takes about 2 weeks. All that apple simplicity has a cost.

More proof of the on going battle,between iPhone and other carriers...BBRY...Google etc, their faithful will keep being happy even if they now have to use their poor apple maps due to the removal of goggle maps and of course no ore you tube apps either....we want apps and they are turning them away lol

I switched to the Q10...Very Pleased, but same issue with text messages. Called AT&T and they transfered me to an apple care representative and I was told it can take up to 45 days to reset. Hard to believe something simple can take that long. The further I get away from apple the more I realize how terrible they are.
