    I need help or my wife will kill me. She has a password on her z10 that I do not know. For five attempts I tried to guess what it was and then got the message that I need to type "BlackBerry" in before making another attempt. So I left it alone. Now my wife says she types the word BlackBerry and then puts in her password and it does not accept the password. Is it still looking for the numbered password like it always does or is there another password it is looking for?

    Has anyone else had this issue?

    Please help me asap.

    All I know is you must type in "BlackBerry" exactly as it's show -- upper and lower case as shown. Then password. But you only get ten tries before the phone wipes itself of your data.

    The typing of Blackberry is to be sure that you have the CASE correct and in the old days, you had your numerics and alphabetics correct. But it should still only want the password she set. (now, I won't ask why you were trying to break into her phone - but you can volunteer that info - if you are still alive!!!)

    It was weird. It got stuck on the sixth try. It worked now and all is fine. How many spouses have passwords that you do not know?

    Perhaps that is a question for another website.

    She says that she likes her privacy. Although that does not stop her from going through my phone when she gets the chance.
