I alllllmost got the v10 when they were doing the free second battery free 200 gb sd promo. But then I thought, why pay 250 for a "free battery " when I could pay 99 for the passport that doesn't need a second battery.

If my Z10 dies on me I have a few possible options.
    Android - hell no
iOS - maybe, it would be the easy solution

Jolla - I have two, it depends . Jolla might not exist. A good backup phone, I love sailfish 2.0

Windows 10 - why not, if the phone is good enough and comes with the applications I need.

Z30 or Passport - most likely as long as BlackBerry doesn't abandon the OS.

I might buy another Z10 as a backup, but I have to many backup phones already because I take really good care of them

I have been off-contract for months (technically, was on Verizon's EDGE plan). As of this moment I am considering the Leap (don't need NFC or Compass; don't need high rez screen; and would use the FM radio for sure); the Classic; the Passport; WinPhone. Thing is that I also need to think about staying on or leaving Verizon.

As for the Priv, I had always thought if I went back to Android (owned three Android handsets in the past in addition to what-ever BB I had up through the first months of my Z10) I would go with the Priv, but now I am not sure of that. I am one who is more loyal to BBs OS and not necessarily the company so if I went Android it would likely be with a cheaper phone that I can root to build my own Android experience which would include some of, if not all, of BBs Android apps.

iOS would be my last consideration, but it is still a consideration.

My Z10 is still going strong, however, so I have no real pressing need for a new device outside of simply wanting one. I am thinking of just waiting until March 2016 before I do anything. By then we should have more info on the Vienna, a new leak or two (device, hopefully), and I believe that the 10.3.3 update will be an indication of future of BB10--at least in the short term. By that I mean we would be able to make a best guess about BB10s future depending on what is in the file and change log.

Now that I fixed my sync issue, hugging my Z10 again today..

But I'd still trade it in in a heartbeat for a updated/modern new BB10 touch device..

The Z30 is two years old and I don't see spending the same price for that as one would for a iphone 6 (at Verizon at least)
If I may inquire, was the syncing issue you mentioned having to do with Blend and/or Link? I can no longer sync with either, and not even with Sachesi.

I went for the z30, they are relatively cheap now. After this one, I honestly don't know. At least I will be okay for the next couple of years.

I use a cheap cracked small low end Droid for training and all kinds of creepy apps, not to be tracked to my actual persona... but using such a device as productivity tool makes me feel uncomfortable.

Probably I will go for a dumb phone and an iPad mini for the apps when I need them. But it is not ideal for me.

I hear you but if this Priv treats the BlackBerry big shots well they might not look back in their rear view mirror.

I bought z10 after nearly 1.5 years after release. It's been 2 years now and still going strong. Z30 is also 2 years since release and I am sure it will go strong.

Good point. Love the look of the passport as wife has one. Can you tell me if pp runs android apps well. I run a few on z10. That would be a real plus for me if I went passport!
