I've had my Z10 for about 5 months now. I never had any problems with my Z10 before, but today it can't seem to produce any sound.
The keystroke, notification, phone call alert, music, video are all completely silent!
The funny thing is I can still use the telephone and like normal( I can hear what the other said and the other can hear my voice)
The apps are completely silent though. I tried Skype video call but still no sound at all?

I read about some problems about it, especially the one that requires a hard reset with the lock and volume buttons pressed.
I have already tried and even use battery pull, but still nothing...

Does anyone have this kind of problem? If you do, please share about how you fix it. Thx

Just adding you checked all notification settings and volume levels (both media and notification)?

any sound when you plug in headphones? I see your speaker and mic still work on calls. so that audio chip is fine.

It's simple. Just remove the battery cover and press on the speaker grill.

Din't work for me. I've tried all methods, which I was able to find - nothing works at all. So my Z has been lying still for two months for now under a thick carpet of dust and dead spiders. There were more than one reason to this, but speaker failure was a last straw..

I have had this problem. Had to buy a replacement back frame on eBay (the part that contains the mic and loud speaker) and replaced it. Sound is back now.
