My manager told me the other day that all blackberry 10 devices will now be only available via direct ship. I work at a corporate store in cleveland I have to go check the Email but I'm not sure if this has just affected NorthEast Ohio. Does anyone know is this nationwide.

I know somebody will say hey this won't affect software update and so on ect ect.... Yes it will just like when I bought my Playbook what a waste of money, and no I didn't get it when it dropped to 200 I bought it for like 700.
NOW as if it wasn't hard enough to sell a blackberry before now it will be impossible unless the customer already has done there own research. Now I'm wondering why a company would sell off the best assets BBM.

That is sad. So the only way anyone will get one is if they know all about and want one. No chance for anyone that doesn't know about it to even look at it.

I has posted that a short while ago. We are in Jacksonville FL and my friend's husband, who is the BlackBerry rep at the Tmobile store said they had pulled all BlackBerrys off the shelves.

Call a T-Mobile store right now and ask a Manager some of them care so little about BlackBerry that they won't know so you will more than likely have to call a few stores chances are the reps won't know unless they're a blackberry rep for that store.

Here in Central Ohio, t-mobile still has Q10 commercials on the radio. I wonder if they will offer the Z30. Crazy. So much for the holiday shopping season.

They aren't selling well and they are wasting valuable showroom space where they could put products that sell better.

well, I think that's been the biggest problem. BB10 simply didn't offer any compelling reasons to switch from Android or iOS to a BlackBerry. The only people buying BlackBerry 10 devices are BB OS7 owners.

Sprint is direct ship only too. I went in to get 3 for family members and was told it had to be ordered. WTF do carrier's just want 2 types of phones? So what they don't sell like the other still offer them in ur stores.

I'm not sure I blame them. BlackBerry management has put the carriers in a position where even customers who WANT the device will hold the CARRIERS in contempt for LETTING THEM BUY IT.

When something so good performs so badly in the marketplace, especially when the vendor has BILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN CASH, who do you blame BUT the incompetent executive team.

Before the PlayBook fiasco (not that BB10 couldn't be put on, just that they cut off ALL development i.e. screwing over their best customers) I was willing to give BB management the benefit of the doubt... but that decision was so colossally backwards and colossally "bad business decision" that it's obvious that BB management is 100% accountable for the underperformance in the market. But what do we "armchair CEOs" know... except what the steady stream of bad news tells us.

BlackBerry director says company can survive as niche smartphone maker: WSJ | Reuters

On the T-Mo site (at least on my zip) they show the Apple5 and the BBerry Q10 as "staff picks". When my local (So. Cal) store opens I'll give them a call and see what they say.

You mean wasting space? Dont you?
Things have to move in order to be sold in stores
would you really want 10phones to sit for 5-6months before they sell 1?

Bbry just aint selling and its shouldnt be a surprise subpar hardware at prrmium prices are they insane?
if you havent noticed bbry barely sells 1m world wide bb10 phones per month so far
there are more then 2 types lets see windows phone android ios quick msging phones and phones that dont turn into bricks everytime bbry crashes
you know the type of phones you pick up and use rather then scratch your head and wonder why you even touched it

fyi people do get tired of service outages if you google bbry outages theynhappen quite often because of the nature of bbry phones they are tethered meaning if the local node or the central server goes down so does everything internet related on your phone this coming from a company that promises 99.9% uptime lol

bbry recebtly got fined millions for the last outage in indonesia
