This is kinda strange to me - there seems to be no percentage function on the calculator, in either standard or scientific modes. It's not something I use much, and in many uses I can just use the decimal conversion but still...how could they have forgotten such a basic function in a calculator?

    Am I just missing something?

Was the same on playbook See http://forums.crackberry.com/playboo...symbol-741623/

I guess they removed it after this ... http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...entage-657422/ or http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...k-what-691535/

In order to prevent user error, they just removed the functionality

If you drag down from the top there's a tip calculator which has a %

However to be honest I've never used one on a calculator, I've simply used math to calculate the %

You can use the tip function in the calculator. You find it by pulling down on the top screen.

You can always multiply or divide the long way to get what you're after.

Better yet, you can use Google calculator online.

    I'm not too concerned.

Agreed that functionally it's not a big deal but it strikes me as an odd omission is all.

Percentage is funny on some calculators too even when present. I have one where you have to press multiply before you do a percentage calculation, then press + or - key if you need to add or subtract the percentage value from the sum!

Whoosh.....!!!!!!!!!! Careful! Z10 in action here!
