I have stole this idea from various sat navs. Anyway, I use my z10 basically 24/7, however I find that as night draws in the screen is very bright even on the lowest setting.

For example, if I want to use the kindle app to read in bed, I can't because it is just too bright and it strains my eyes. On the ipad app (which I also have), you can drop the brightness right down so that it barely emits any light at all yet is still readable.

I wish the z10 had this sort of feature, I don't know if I'm alone in thinking this, but my eyes would certainly appreciate a much lower lowest brightness setting for night time.

    Hope that makes sense.

The lowest brightness on the Z10 is quite low, it seems to me it would be good for night time but that's me personally.

You can switch it to night mode black background white letters. Once book is open tap three dots. Settings open tap letter size. Gives letter size, spacing and background colour.

Never had this issue, setting the "Brightness" correctly helps.

Move the brightness slider to the desired setting while your device is outdoors in direct sunlight.
The algorithm automatically adjusts very decently IMHO.
